Building the AI-native strategy for post-acute care
Recruited into a role created specifically for me, following the working relationship built during my time in technology strategy at Amedisys. I anchored nVoq's strategy in a clinician-in-the-lead model — AI should reduce clinician burden without removing the clinician from authorship — and set the Capture, Compose, Check, Complete framework as the shared language across product, engineering, clinical, and go-to-market teams.
I set the vision for a FHIR-first PHI architecture — sourcing Medplum as the headless EHR foundation and Corepoint as the integration engine — shifting the platform from capturing dictation alone to storing patient context, substantially increasing the value of nVoq data to its customers.
Setting the direction for four functions that didn't exist yet
I made the case for a formal product organization and set the strategy that moved it forward — defining the roles, prioritizing the hires, and partnering with engineering and clinical leadership to get each function standing.
